ARM scientists collect a wide range of data from multiple sensors at the SGP observatory site, which is located on 160 acres of cattle pasture and wheat fields southeast of Lamont, Oklahoma. The center of the site houses the heavily instrumented Central Facility, where instruments are continuously monitored by technicians and support staff. In addition to the continuous observations, scientists supplement the data with guest instruments that are used during field research campaigns or by requesting increased observational frequencies from the host instrument.
The SGP provides a unique opportunity to gather a vast amount of information in one place for researchers and educators to use for comparison, planning, and decision-making. In addition to providing a snapshot of each student’s performance in a particular subject area, SGP offers the ability to see how students are progressing over time through the use of growth trajectories. Growth trajectories are based on historical data of students who have taken the same assessment in prior years.
Using the trajectories that are created, teachers can make predictions of what the growth trajectory for each student will look like. These projections are then compared to the median growth trajectory for similar students in the state. The differences are reflected in the mSGP score that is reported to educators.
SGP also reflects the growth needed to reach/maintain proficiency on the Star assessments in Reading, Mathematics, and Science. These projections are calculated by comparing the student’s current SGP with their projected SGP in the future after taking additional assessments over the same period of time. This information is based on the average student growth trajectories for students who have taken at least two assessments during different testing windows (the fall, winter, or spring; the test dates do not necessarily correspond to a school’s calendar year).
Data sgp is a web-based system that allows users to view and download a variety of statistical and other reports produced by the SGP. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy for students and administrators to find the reports they need. The data sgp website is updated regularly, so users can always get the most up-to-date information possible about their students’ scores and overall SGP.
In addition to a report viewer, the SGP website also contains information about upcoming assessments, professional development opportunities, and other resources for teachers. Educators can even access the SGP’s online training modules. This resource is particularly useful for new teachers who are unfamiliar with the SGP reporting process. It includes tutorials and videos that explain how to navigate the SGP reporting system and what each of the reports means. This way, educators can be confident that they are interpreting the SGP correctly. The SGP’s resources are available free of charge for all schools and districts in the state of NJ. Educators can access the SGP portal by entering their ID number and password. The login information is provided by the SGP office. The website will also display a list of all current and past reports.
