The Hong Kong Prize and Art Prize Shortlists

The hk prize is an annual award to recognise the outstanding research in clinical medicine conducted by young Fellows of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. Submissions must be published in a peer-reviewed journal and can cover any specialties within medicine.

The Prize will be awarded to a scientist or team of scientists working in the Hong Kong-based Greater Bay Area. It aims to support scientists in promoting scientific and technological innovation and transformation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area through the award and by supporting the development of their research-related institutions and facilities.

Three Hong Kong activists and the pro-democracy Umbrella Movement group have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, a nomination Beijing says represents meddling in its internal affairs. But the prize could be a turning point in Hong Kong’s political landscape, as the former British colony faces a loss of its long-held autonomy under China’s “one country, two systems” formula.

A total of nine artists from Hong Kong have made it on to the shortlist for this year’s Art Prize, which is one of the most diverse in the history of the award’s 20-year-old existence. It is also the first time that nearly two-thirds of the shortlistees are women, marking a milestone in the art world and in the Prize’s history.

As part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the mark six lottery, the organisers will be giving away HK$10 million in prize money in the draw on 27 March. The prize money is derived from the lottery duty collected by the government.

The HK$10 million prize is a record amount in the history of the mark six lottery. Previously, the highest winning prize was HK$5 million in 2010. The maximum number of prizes that can be won in the draw is HK$30, and there are four categories of prizes, including cash, property, health and education.

Those who want to participate in the mark six lottery can visit the ticket outlets around the city. A ticket costs HK$10, and there are different types of tickets available. In addition to the standard unit investment, there are a variety of other investments that can be purchased, such as the Multiple & Banker and the Lucky Chances tickets.

The winner will receive an engraved gold medal and a prize of HK$25,000. The award ceremony will take place on 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
