If there are no winners in tonight’s draw, the entire jackpot will be carried over to a next draw, boosting 1st prize winnings by up to a fifth.

The HK Global Development Prize is looking for innovative ideas on how to support Hong Kong’s international development efforts and shape the city’s role on the world stage. Applicants are asked to submit their ideas in the form of a short video clip, explaining how they could provide Hong Kong with a platform for implementing Official Development Assistance (ODA) and shaping its global role as a science and technology hub.

This year’s Hang Lung Mathematics Awards received applications from over 70 teams from close to 50 secondary schools. The 15 teams selected to proceed to the final Oral Defense stage presented their research in front of a panel of judges.

In addition to the HK$10,000 prize money, each team will be awarded a book coupon worth HK$100 and a prize certificate. The winning teams will also be invited to attend a Science Fair, where they can exhibit their work and share their knowledge with the public.
